What is the Human Forest?

The Human Forest Experience is an immersive exploration of human connection through presence, consent and devotional touch.
In a world where we’re increasingly connected through screens yet often disconnected from one another, the Human Forest offers something beautifully simple: a space to slow down, listen to your body, practise clear boundaries and experience the nourishment of intentional human connection.
You don’t need to be naturally affectionate, confident with touch or experienced in spaces like this. Curiosity is enough.
How does the Forest work?
During the experience, participants move between two roles: Trees and Critters.
Trees receive. They are invited to close their eyes or wear a blindfold, allowing them to turn their attention inward and notice what different kinds of touch actually feel like in their body.
Critters give. They move through the Forest offering slow, attentive and devotional touch, always within the clearly established boundaries of the experience and the individual receiving.
Then we swap, giving everyone the opportunity to experience both sides: the practice of receiving without needing to give back, and the practice of giving without expecting anything in return.
Consent is at the heart of everything
Before entering the Forest, we spend time exploring consent, boundaries and communication.
You’ll learn simple hand gestures that allow you to communicate without speaking:
I’m enjoying this and would like more.
A way to redirect touch without ending the connection.
A clear and compassionate way to finish an interaction.
These gestures create a surprisingly powerful opportunity to practise listening to your body and expressing what you actually want, rather than what you think you should want.
Nothing is expected of you
The Human Forest is not a sexual event.
Clear group boundaries are established before we begin, and every participant remains in control of their own body throughout the experience.
Sometimes the most meaningful experience in the Forest is discovering a wholehearted yes.
Sometimes it’s discovering the confidence to say no.
Both are equally welcome.
More than touch
Although touch is the medium, the Human Forest is really an exploration of presence, trust, boundaries, vulnerability and belonging.
For some people, the experience is playful and joyful. For others, it can feel deeply nourishing, emotional or restorative. Sometimes it simply feels wonderful to be cared for without having to achieve anything or give anything back.
Every Forest is different because every group of humans creates something different together.
Our intention is simple:
That you leave feeling a little more connected to your body, a little clearer about your boundaries, and a little more connected to the humans around you.
🌿 Come as you are.
The Forest is waiting.
